Home-Start is a voluntary organisation in which volunteers offer regular support, friendship and practical help to young families under stress in their own homes, helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown, and emphasising the pleasure of family life. Home-Start provides a breathing space for parents and elbowroom for many professional workers who refer any family with at least one child under 11 to the scheme.

We are one of the UK’s premier youth organisations with over 41,000 cadets aged between 12-19! Sponsored by the Royal Air Force and supported by an army of Adult Volunteers, the Royal Air Force Air Cadets can provide you with so many different opportunities, along with hands-on experience on activities and courses which will make you stand out from the crowd no matter what you go on to do. Parading on Tuesday and Friday evenings, 1378 (Mold) Squadron is based just off Mold high street and is run by a team of Cadet Forces Adult Volunteers led by Officer Commanding, Flight Lieutenant Andrew Taylor. Our cadets partake in many different activities including flying, gliding, shooting, first aid, drill and leadership. Many of these activities can be used in day to day life and are transferable in whatever you choose to do after leaving the cadets.

The 18 hole uplands course lies in the shadow of Moel Famau in the Clwydian Range – “the gateway to rural Wales’ and an “Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.” From the higher part of the course, some 850 feet above sea level, a colourful panorama opens out. To the north you will see the Halkyn Plateau, Dee Estuary and Chester with the Wirral and Merseyside beyond. Eastward offers extensive views over many miles of the Cheshire Plain and on to the Peak District. On a clear day the view from the 10th fairway is second to none. North East Wales Search and Rescue Kingswood Colomendy Loggerheads Mold. CH7 5LB

NEWSAR is a volunteer Search and Rescue (Mountain Rescue) Organisation. Their primary operating area is in North East Wales mainly covering the counties of Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham and parts of Conwy and Powys. The team also regularly assists Mountain Rescue teams elsewhere in North Wales as well as Lowland Search and Rescue teams in Cheshire and Shropshire. The team was originally formed in 1981 under the name Clwyd Rescue Team, changing to North East Wales Search And Rescue in 1994. They are a group of volunteers who help the Police by looking for vulnerable people who are missing from home or those in need of rescue. We are available 24 hours / 365 days a year. They are a Registered Charity (England and Wales Number 1192256) and affiliated to the North Wales Mountain Rescue Association and Mountain Rescue, England and Wales.
